Fall stove top potpourri

Ok so I must admit... fall, and winter are my favorite times of year! I love the season changes, leave changing colors, gets cooler out. Sweater weather, leggings and boots! Just the whole feel of fall ♡ and not to mention all the fall smells, food and activities!

I like my house to smell like fall too and for me it takes me back to when I was a kid and my mom would have this on the stove... I'd always go into the kitchen thinking it was apple pie only to realize it was potpourri on the stove.... ahahaha the disapointment!?

But as a adult I now know why.... :)

What I used was a whole apple sliced
2 cups of water ( it will evaporate throughout the day you will have to add more )
Cinnamon sticks and cinnamon powder!
Cloves
And never too much vanilla

Wish I could say I measured this and have a exact recipe for you...   . But I dont.

Guess and play around I like a lot of vanilla ♡

Looks cute.... smells amazing! Go ahead try it out! Can't smell it through this blogg... I wish!

Happy fall activities.

Homemade meatballs and sweet n sour sauce! Easy dinner!!!

Ok so these are honestly amazing!
One of my most requested meals from my kids and hubby!

I've put these over rice and egg noodles either way is really good, but I like rice better...

Ok ok you ready to know how I did this ?

I made my meatballs homemade! But for sure if you like to use frozen ones you could. Fresh is better... it's not that hard.

3 eggs
2 chopped onions
2 lbs hamburger
1 1/2 cups bread crumbs
Mix

Form into balls.
Whatever size you like
I use little muffin tins but use whatever!
I like to make extra they freeze great.

Ready for the sauce? ?
2 ingredients that's it!
No really and it's amazing!!
Chili sauce and grape jelly
That's it!
Sooooo good

Throw both of them in the slow cooker

Mix them together!

My meatballs cooked on 400 degrees for 18 minutes

Once sauce is mixed

Throw your meatballs in and mix around.
These can keep in slow cooker all day if you like! This is enough sauce for 2 pounds of meatballs!

Sauce will thicken

Put over rice omg yummm!

Make extras you will want left overs !

Rather watch me do it?
I also do youtube videos come check them out! tons of recipies and random videos!

Cheeseburger soup in crockpot

Ok so I am not one for Velveeta cheese... however my husband went grocery shopping few weeks back and of course he grabbed this. ( you can make this with any cheese)

Ok cheeseburger soup
What I used
1 package of shredded hash browns ( you can used cubed or fresh )
1 big box of Velveeta
1 32 Oz chicken broth
2 lbs hamburger
1 large onion chopped fine
And bacon makes everything better ;)
Dill pickle chips are good with this to!

I chopped onion and fried it up with the hamburger

While my hamburger was cooking I chopped up my Velveeta cheese in cubes, so it would melt faster

Added the cheese and chicken broth into my crock

Add the onion and hamburger and 1 bag of frozen  hash browns

And while that is on low for 2/3 hours or high for 1/2
I fried up some bacon and threw some into the soup and crumbled up the rest for a topping when it comes out

Finished product ♡♡ this is amazing must try.
Kids and husband loved it!
And even have some left overs for later!
Great soup for a cold winter day.

Homemade baked chicken wings

Ok so I am one for chicken wings! Any flavor as long as there is blue cheese :)

I was never a health nut or really ever watched what I ate. I never had to worry about wright issues but the older I get I like to at least now put a little thought into it? And as these are far I'm sure from a health food, at least it's healthier than the average wing... and that's what I go for..

Ok blah blah blah you ready for hpw I did it?
Real easy!

I picked up the full size wings ( tend to be a lot cheaper )

And i cut them in halves

I used old bay ( our favorite )
I just rolled in olive oil then the season to bake. Then I added more season when they came out... never too much season right?

I lined my tray with foil just for easy clean up

As for our hot wings I rolled in olive oil then pur cayenne pepper on them to bake

I baked both of them at 400° for 35 minutes

For the hot sause I used a stick of butter a bottle of hot sauce more cayenne pepper garlic pepper and some regular pepper put on low heat until butter melts then turn off

I cut up some celery and normally make my own blue cheese but didn't have the ingredients so next best thing is Kens steakhouse dressing

Here are the old bay season out of the oven
They turned out amazing!

And the hot wings out of the oven before the hot sause

And yummm my favorite after the sause! Better than any order out place ( at least that's what my family say )

Dinner is done!
